Piñata Alcohol Ink:
Piñata Colors are fast-drying, highly saturated alcohol inks for any hard surface, including glass, metal, plastic, ceramic, stone, leather, resin, polymer clay, YUPO® paper and more. Indelible and impervious to water, Piñata Colors wipe off with alcohol and re-wet, allowing for unique effects and techniques not easily achieved with water-based inks. As a highly transparent dye-based ink, Piñata Colors is unrivaled in its vibrancy. Only the most light-resistant dyes have been selected for the palette. Acid-free and with excellent adhesive properties, Piñata Colors are the reference inks for all non-porous surfaces.
TECHNIQUES:
Fine arts, scrapbooking, crafts, faux stained glass, card making, epoxy resin work, faux finishing techniques, wood and leather dyeing.
SURFACES:
Glass, metal, plastic, vinyl, ceramic, stone, leather, epoxy resins, YUPO® paper, aluminum foil, wood, encaustic, Claybord™, fiberglass, acrylic, polymer clay and more.
TRICKS:
Mixing Piñata with Claro spread:
It will stay bright and will not change color. Extends drying and working time. Of course extending is also transparent. If you pour a few drops of Claro spreader or paint with a brush on top of a dry Piñata it will spread, creating marbling or imitation gemstone textures. The finish will remain shiny but somewhat more matte. Like real stone!
Mix Piñata with alcohol:
Produces a slightly lighter color. As you practice sponge painting with this mixture, small bubble textures will appear. This is very effective for making backgrounds and other interesting imitation texture effects. If you pour alcohol or rub with a brush on a dry Piñata the shine will be removed. This is particularly effective on terracotta surfaces or in imitation techniques where gloss would detract from the overall effect.
Spray or paint layers of color on color:
When wet each layer will push aside the layers below creating incredible effects. If you let each layer dry it will produce beautiful transparencies, truly spectacular colors with clarity and depth.
With White Piñata:
Add Piñata White to any of the Piñata colors for a whole new, bright range of pastel variations with a hint of opacity.
Colored pencils:
Draw and paint with colored pencils and apply Piñata ink on top, you will get incredible results without the pencil strokes dissolving.
Beautiful batik effects with wax:
Apply melted wax on natural fabric with a brush on both sides and let cool until the wax is hard again, wrinkle the fabric breaking the waxed surface into small pieces (crackle), then apply Piñata on both sides with a foam brush and let dry. Once dry by crumpling the fabric, extract as much of the adhering wax as possible, then place the fabric between two pieces of paper and iron with heat on both sides. You will see that the remaining wax passes from the fabric to the paper. If you notice that there are traces of wax left, , iron again with two new papers until all wax remains are removed.
Gum Arabic:
Mix gum arabic with water until you get a thick cream consistency, apply with a rubber stamp or a brush, once dry apply Piñata over the painted reserves, once dry wash with water and the gum arabic will disappear leaving view the reserved unpainted background.
Cleaning:
Wash the brushes first with normal alcohol, once the dirt has been removed, do a second cleaning with Piñata Clean up Solution, this product contains softeners that keep the brushes and sponges soft and flexible, extending their useful life.
Warning: Flammable • Eye irritant • Contains: Denatured alcohol • Keep out of reach of children.
Try Piñata ink on:

ATTENTION: **We offer the home delivery service for the canvases due to the difficulty of our clients in taking care of them, due to their size or distance from the home. Returns or exchanges of canvases are not allowed due to logistics, handling and packaging issues. The transport price refers to the net cost of what the agency charges us and the cost of packaging. For this reason, we inform you that there is no insurance cost included since neither the transport company nor the insurers want to take charge. This type of merchandise would require a custom wooden box, and we believe that the costs of such work would delay deliveries and increase costs substantially. For our part, we do everything possible to try to pack the merchandise as best as possible to be able to offer the service, but in no case are we responsible. To date, we estimate that in 3% of operations, the canvases arrive with some damage. The client must be willing to try to solve the problems with our help and advice. We also offer the client the possibility of purchasing the canvases with delivery to the store and having them picked up by their own agency. We limit ourselves to delivering the merchandise in its original condition, without packaging. Returns of canvases, paints, papers, or napkins are also not accepted.
