There are also specific varnishes that not only protect but also modify the final characteristics of the work, such as: the brightness or the luminosity of the tones.
- Uses: Before applying a final varnish to a work, we must ensure that it is completely dry. It is not advisable to varnish an oil painting before a year of finishing. Only in the case of the Retouching Varnish that time can be from 3 to 6 months.
- Tip's: The varnishes must be applied in a ventilated and dust-free environment. It is ideal that the work is in a horizontal position.

Matte Oil Varnish

- Characteristics: Varnish composed of a dilution of synthetic resin in essences. It dries quickly and provides a transparent, matte film.
- Uses: Especially indicated as final varnish. It is applied using quality soft, flat, wide brushes. In the case of aerosols, they must be applied regularly at a distance of 20/30 cm from the work
