Mongay's shellac allows to obtain a glossy effect finish on wood, be it frames, figures, trims... It can also be used on golden surfaces or in all kinds of manual work as a primer on plaster or plaster figures, for example.
Although it may seem incredible to you, shellac is obtained from a small insect called "lacquer mealybug" (Laccifer lacca) that is found in Southeast Asia, the little bug leaves its resin on the trees and after pruning the branches, it goes through a series of processes from which this precious material is finally obtained, it is finally mixed with denatured alcohol and we already have it ready for you to buy.

It is very useful for waterproofing porous surfaces and as insulation, on wood it is usually applied with a doll (with a cloth) and on surfaces such as plaster a brush is usually used.

Returns or exchanges of canvases are not allowed due to logistics, handling and packaging issues. The transport price refers to the net cost of what the agency charges us and the cost of packaging. For this reason, we inform you that there is no insurance cost included since neither the transport company nor the insurers want to take charge. This type of merchandise would require a custom wooden box, and we believe that the costs of such work would delay deliveries and increase costs substantially. We limit ourselves to delivering the merchandise in its original condition, without packaging. Returns of canvases, paints, papers, or napkins are also not accepted.
